Inspiring and equipping children and their parents to know God and to be God’s light in their homes and beyond.
Our mission for ministry to children age 2.5 through 6th grade is for them to know and experience, even at a young age, the profound love of God in Christ.
All children are encouraged to join their families in the worship service from 11:00 am until they are dismissed to go to their classes before the start of the sermon. We have a volunteer staffed nursery for children up to the age of 2.5.

children's ministry curriculum
Our preschool program children use 'The Jesus Storybook Bible'. The Jesus Storybook Bible tells the story of Jesus throughout the entire Bible. Children will learn the entire Bible through song, dance, Bible stories, and craft. This class is to prepare little children for their future years in Sunday school and is open for children as young as 2.5 years of age.
Our Primary and Junior classes are using "The Gospel Story Bible". This is a three year curriculum divided into three learning levels: preschool, lower and upper primary. The children are introduced to God's greater plan of redemption through Jesus Christ. The Gospel Story Curriculum focuses on Jesus and his gospel as told through the entire Bible. The purpose of this new curriculum is not to present disconnected stories from the Bible but to show the children how each story is connected to God's design, purpose and plan for redemption. Each lesson's main goal is to connect to the gospel.
The children have finished reading through the Old Testament and have begun the New Testament portion of the curriculum. We encourage parents to use the accompanying Old Story New devotional guide that goes with it. You can collect one of these from Anna in the church office.
The Youth class meets in Room 502 during normal Sunday school times. This class is doing 'The Doctrines of Grace', student edition by Shane Lems. They also serve the church in various ways every second Sunday of the month during the service.
FPC FIT KIDS CLUB - get involved!
Friendship Presbyterian Church (FPC) Fit Kids Club was originally created by Jesse Turk and is currently being led by Jackie Zuiderhof. You can contact her at (email@example.com) if you would like to know more about our events and activities. Fit Kids is a chance for children from all Sunday school classes in the Children's Ministry to gather together with their church family for fun, games and exercise.
More importantly, FPC Fit Kids is an outreach and we encourage church members to bring along their friends, especially those who have no other exposure to church life. Fit Kids meets on a semi-regular schedule. To check out our next meeting click this link.
